Job Description:

The Greenpoint YMCA is seeking a qualified individual who will be responsible for providing a safe and positive environment for teens in the Y Scholars program. The Activity Specialist will be directly involve in supervising teen participants, providing administrative support, job readiness coordination and summer placements.

Responsibilities:

Be a consistent role model and provide leadership, supervision and guidance for teens.
Provide outreach and ongoing teen follow-up as needed.
Support all job readiness portions of the program.
Coordinate and organize program activities.
Complete administrative duties including program advertisement, student tracking, data entry and filing.
Provide assistance or coverage for staff within the groups they supervise

Required Skills/Experience:

High school graduate, some college coursework desired. Minimum of two years experience working with teens; preferably within a job readiness or SYEP setting. Experience with case management a plus. First Aid, CPR and Child Abuse training preferred.
