 STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt SALARY: $14.50 P/HR SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday; 8:30am-4:30pm

We are seeking a qualified Adult Education Program Coordinator (Bilingual English/Spanish preferred) with a strong commitment to adult education and adult immigrants to work at the Forest Hills Center. The Coordinator will assist the daytime program in building a supportive community for adult immigrant students and staff through intake and assess-ment, customer service, and administration. QCH services include English as a Second Language classes, benefits assis-tance, health care education and monitoring, housekeeping, errands, transportation, support groups, volunteer opportuni-ties, inter-generational programming, recreation and cultural activities and trips.

Required Skills/Experience:

 * Cover Adult Education main phone line and desk, including answering phones and inquiries, greeting students, applicants, and visitors courteously and making sure helpful information is given.

* Take the lead in organizing registration, intake, and BEST Plus testing of students (room reservation, coordination of intake forms, tracking current status).

* Conduct registration intake; input student data into two external databases ASISTS & CAPRICORN and two in-ternal Adult Education databases.

* Support biweekly collection of teacher and staff timesheets for director signature and for submission.

* Maintain student and administrative files in an organized manner, both physically and virtually on the one drive.

* Reserve classrooms and meeting rooms and work with administration to adjust or cancel room reservations

* Assist in mobilization of classes during adult literacy advocacy periods (e.g. going to City Hall, letter writing campaigns, etc.).

* Provide verbal and written translations/interpretation in Spanish as needed

* Coordinate and participate in outreach efforts at public events and public places (e.g. Corona Plazas)

* Provide accurate and appropriate information on Adult Education and QCH services to students

* Other tasks as assigned.
