After-School STEM Tutor

Inwood Academy is seeking talented instructors to lead STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) driven classes in our IAL Enrichment Program. Tutors must be able to communicate effectively with students while remaining professional at all times. Tutors must also be able to motivate and maintain the interest of the students while setting an example in all areas, including timeliness, attendance and professionalism.

Qualification, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
● Must possess a genuine interest in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) and how kids relate to them. 
● Currently working in or pursuing a career in education or STEM fields.
● Teacher certification is not required, but experience working with youth in a teaching or volunteer role is required. 
● Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MS Office, Internet, and basic computer operations is required.
● Willingness to learn new software applications and technology tools.
● Able to manage a class of 10-15 students middle school students. 
● Able and willing to work collaboratively with other teachers. 
● Excellent communication and organizational skills.
● Ability to work as part of a team.
● Strong time management skills.
● Bi-lingual preferred.
