Job Description:
Primary Purpose of Job: Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the maintenance and daily operation of a nutrition education program (CookShop Classroom). Serve as a liaison to CookShop schools and after-school sites, provide technical support and coordinate trainings.
• Collaborate with CookShop schools, sites, teachers and school administration to support the implementation of a comprehensive nutrition education program – citywide travel required;
• Assist with site recruitment, training, supervision, ensure training curriculum is implemented in accordance with approved standards and provide technical assistance;
• Process all program documentation including filing and organization of program materials;
• Conduct and assist in planning and implementing training and continuing education events and schedule, plan and coordinate meetings and activities to assist with evaluation measures;
• Contribute to a quarterly newsletter for teachers, workshop leaders and volunteers;
• Assist with recipe development and testing;
• Supervise any assigned staff;
• Additional duties as required.

Required Skills/Experience:
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred and two years experience in nutrition, culinary education, public health, health education or other related field required;
• Experience working in schools, after-school programs or other youth programs a plus;
• Excellent communication skills, customer service and training experience required;
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members and departments;
• Proactive and well-organized with the ability to communicate with diverse constituencies required;
• Proficiency in all MS office applications required;
• Interest in and familiarity with food poverty and nutrition policy a plus;
• Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages a plus.
