We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate Group Leader who will be responsible for the overall leadership, planning and implementation of an after-school group for K-12 youth, including integrated educational projects, recreation, arts and crafts and group building activities. Reports to: Program Director Location: 2635 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn, NY 11208 Hours: Up to 17 Hours Per Week: Non-Exempt (Mondays – Friday 3:00pm – 6:00pm, Select School Holidays 8:30-6pm) Major Duties: Maintain 85% group attendance. Attend all staff meetings and mandatory trainings. Develop and maintain an atmosphere of consistency and fairness in which both children and staff cooperate. Plan lessons and implement activities including arts & crafts, team building, group games each day. Supervise and support staff and participants assigned to your group. Qualifications: High School Graduate or GED and at least 2 years related experience in youth development programs preferred. Some college and experience with adolescents preferred. Able to lead and participate in group activities.
