Job Description:

This role involves working in a Department of Education public school which houses two Sunnyside Community Services (SCS) sponsored programs. Those programs are The Out of School Time (OST) and Family Literacy Programs. This position requires a commitment of 27 hours a week Monday through Friday and spanning program hours.

Job Description:
 
  • Help design fun, safe and educational programming for both Family Literacy and OST programs.
  • Support Program Directors with managing program and participant flow on a day to day basis.
  • Support programming during vacation holiday camps.
  • Support the collection and maintenance of all required documentation. ie participant files, employee files, attendance sheets, H.W. sheets/ratios, lesson plans, training trackers, participant meals.
  • Input and maintain database systems for site.
  • Help register participants.
  • Maintain positive relationships with co-workers, students, parents and school staff.
  • Address student behavior or safety issues, including follow-up with staff and parents through oral/written communication and tracking of incident reports.
  • Serve as a substitute when staffing shortages require.
  • Compose and disseminate information to parents, staff and students as needed.
  • Obtaining at least 15 hours of professional development (as required by Dept. of Health guidelines).
  • Any additional duties, as needed.

Salary up to $19/hr.
