Job Description:
Program facilitators are responsible to teach, tutor and assist program director in out of school time program after school hours. Serve as a role model. Coordinate, supervise and plan curriculum for selected enrichment activity (eg. chess, dance, drama club, sports/recreation, photography, chorus, robotics etc.) Teach creatively in order to make learning fun. Provide opportunities for the children so that each child experiences success during the program.
Required Skills/Experience:
Ideal candidate will be an energetic, creative person with interest in working with urban youth. We are looking for candidates with excellent academic skills and diverse extracurricular interests. Bilingual candidates are a plus. Physical education, journalism, photography, art, dance, chorus, performing arts skills are needed; previous experience working with children required.
