Youth Developer

Responsibilities include:

• Provide individual and group tutoring in areas such as reading, writing, mathematics, and study skills to students in an elementary school after-school based program.
• Provide strong classroom and behavioral management skills.
• Implement professionally developed literacy-based curriculum.
• Work to develop relationships with children and their families.
• Design, plan, and lead implementation of special projects.
• Be punctual, responsible, positive in attitude, and provide encouragement to all children. 
• Teach, supervise, and organize games.
• Assisting in any activities needed for the orderly operation of the program: supervising children. during supper, ensuring equipment is properly signed out and that all equipment is properly cleaned and returned.
• Attend regular staff meetings and trainings and work cooperatively with other staff members in the program. 
• Work closely with all staff members in a team-based setting.
• Attend and supervise children during special projects and field trips (including some weekends and evenings).
