Job Description:

 The Child Center of NY at P.S56 is located on 86-10 114th street in Richmond Hill, Queens. We are dedicated to achieving our vision for helping children to grow up feeling secure and self confident; to succeed in school and later work; and to have the sensitivity to be effective citizens of the world community. We are seeking help for a part time Youth Worker who has the desire to work with children. The position requires at least 16 hours per week with a starting wage of $8 an hour. -Currently in High School or College
-18 years of age or older
-Strong supervision skills for children 6-12 years of age (1st-5th grade)

·         Must be able to work a consistent schedule Monday-Friday
·         Able to come to work on time between the hours 3-6pm

Job Requirements:
 
High School or College Student
18 years of age or older
Current Resume
Medical examination with TB shots
Fingerprinting by the Department of Health
3 Letters of Reference from past employers or personal references
Completion of 15 hours of professional development trainings within first 6 months
