Neighborhood Initiatives Development Corporation @ Eastchester Gardens Community Center Cornerstone Program

Neighborhood Initiatives Development Corp (NIDC) works to create thriving communities in the northeast Bronx.  Our mission is to help youth prepare for a successful future and to ensure our communities are safe and stable.  Afterschool programming began at PS96X in 1998.  Over the years, NIDC has provided a broad range of youth development services including afterschool program for elementary and middle school students, summer camps, and teen centers serving over 200 youth nightly through social, academic, athletic/recreational and leadership activities.  The goal of the youth services department is to develop capable young people who complete high school and pursue higher education and/or meaningful careers.
