Looking to build your skills and confidence in facilitating workshops for youth or adults? Then this training is for you! This day-and-a-half training of trainers will address the fundamentals of group facilitation and provide opportunities to improve your skills and learn from other professionals’ diverse styles. Day one will focus on facilitation skills, tools, technology, communication dynamics, and addressing challenging participant behaviors. On day two, participants will practice facilitation skills and receive feedback. As a result of the training, participants will be able to:
  • demonstrate at least two techniques that can be used to create effective learning environments;
  • give examples of learning styles and describe how an activity can be tailored to support diverse learners; and
  • use strategies to prevent or address challenging participant behaviors.
Training of Trainers is a must-attend training for providers working with groups in educational settings. This training will be capped at 20 participants for a more individualized experience.
