Description:

Teaching about condoms is integral to teaching comprehensive sex education. Sharing information about effective condom use and condom negotiation is an important skill for educators who discuss health and wellness. During this two-hour training, participants will:

  • consider best practices when performing a condom demonstration;
  • explore alternate activities for teaching about condoms when condom demonstrations are not permitted; and
  • examine strategies for condom negotiation that include pleasure-inclusive and risk-reduction messages.

Using Your Condom Sense offers essential information all providers should know, and will be especially useful for those who teach about condoms.
