Frontiers in Urban Science Exploration
Hunter Frontiers of Urban Science Exploration (FUSE) is a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant initiative to provide quality after-school programming with a focus on inquiry based Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) enrichment. FUSE supports four science based after school programs in Harlem and the Bronx and engages approximately 600 youth in inquiry based learning. The goal of the Hunter partnership is to encourage underrepresented students to realize success in the sciences and consider technology careers through a healthy and nurturing after-school experience. Additional content of the program is nutrition and fitness, academic tutoring, mentoring relationships, and college exploration.
